Legacy of Oz Slot Free Play
How To Play It
Legacy of Oz will require a bet of $0.10 to $40, and in exchange you’re getting 10 active lines. It’s not a lot, but it’s a standard system for Book-style games.
You have 5×3 reels with 10 active lines. Most of the game is standard, you get paid for regular combinations of 3+ symbols. However, there is also a way to use symbols as scatters on regular lines, so it doesn’t matter the reels where they land. More on that below.
Special Features
The first thing I’d like to note here, is the presence of the Hyperspins mechanic. We’ve seen it in a number of Microgaming slots over the years, and while you have to pay to use it, it’s still something that other Book slots don’t have in their arsenal.
It involves the use of Respin buttons, which are found at the bottom of each of the five reels. You can respin each reel at will, but there is a price to pay, and it can be higher or lower, depending on the possible outcome.
The feature symbol is the one showing the Book of Oz. It lands on all reels, but only once on each one, so it is not that powerful or common as a wild. It does have that role though, and it could substitute for regular symbols when forming new combinations.
Ideally, you’d want the spin to have 3 or more Books, to get 8 to 20 free spins triggered. Once you get these going, you can also retrigger them, with 2-5 more Books giving you 4-20 extra spins.
The thing that gets added up, is the Special Symbol. The game picks one of the regular symbols to become special, meaning that it will expand and take over its reel. If you get 3 or more special symbols, then you form combinations on the 10 active lines (these pay scattered on active lines, they don’t have to be adjacent).
Maximum Payouts
With a 5,000x top jackpot on the line, Legacy of Oz pays about as well as every other Book-style slot machine we’ve seen so far. There are even some that go higher than that, so the competition will sometimes do even better.
RTP is anywhere between 92.13% and 96.11%, since there is a range that operators can choose from.
Summary
Legacy of Oz has the paid Hyperspins to make it stand out a bit, but mostly it’s a standard Book slot machine, just with better graphics and a theme that has nothing to do with Ancient Egypt.
