The game features an unusual setup with 1-2-3-4-5-2 symbols available over 6 reels, giving you 240 ways to win. As you get combinations to form, additional blocked positions become available, and eventually you could end up with up to 3-4-5-6-7-8 symbols, or 20,160 ways to win. You need 3+ matching symbols, to form a combo and get paid, and they have to land on consecutive reels, left to right.
Special Features

Unlocking all 16 blocked positions is your target, as this gives you access to Scarab Collections. You are now able to collect scarabs in the meters shown to the left, and to activate different modifiers.
- Extra Lives: 1 extra life offered once you get the full screen, and then +1 for every 5 new scarabs colored in red. You use lives to continue the feature, even if you don’t get a win that round (losing rounds consume lives).
- Wild Reels: you collect the yellow scarabs for this, and 1 wild reel is activated once you have 5 of them. The wild reel is sticky for the rest of the round. Multiple wild reels can be activated.
- Multipliers: blue scarabs are collected, and once you have 5, the multiplier gets a +1x boost.
As for the wild, that’s in play as well, and it takes the form of Cleopatra. It’s an expanding wild, which takes over the entire reel and acts as a replacement.

Summary
Valley of the Gods 2 is a worthy successor to the original slot machine, and it improves on certain aspects of the game, making it even more exciting to play now. I wish it had better top payouts though, particularly since those 20,000+ ways to win could certainly offer more.
