Table of Contents
Sand Hills is a wonderfully designed casino that sports more than three hundred slot machines, a designated room for live poker, four tables, and the premium Sand Hills Gold Club (which is actually free to join). This casino promises a great deal in terms of quality service, fair play, and absolutely attractive jackpots. The money is yours to win, you just need to reach out for it.

Casino Gaming Options:
Table games, such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Texas Hold’em, are open every day at varying hours, the slots are available for as long as the doors of the casino are, and the best thing about it is that there’s a special room made exclusively for Live poker.
Slots are in abundance and are scattered throughout the casino, so you can rest assured knowing that you’ll always have a free seat.
Sand Hills Casino Dress Code
Sand Hills Casino doesn’t have any sort of a special dress code or code of conduct. However, it’s a big casino where hundreds and hundreds of gamblers are present at all times, so you should do your best to behave if you want to have a great time.
There’s absolutely no reason for you to bring any food or beverages as the Casino already has the Oasis Lounge and the Dunes Restaurant. Obviously, you shouldn’t carry weapons or any form of illegal substances or contraband items unless you want to leave prematurely.
Food & Beverages
Oasis Lounge and Dunes Restaurant are the two main dining places at the Sand Hills Casino.
The Oasis Lounge offers a huge selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, so it’s a perfect spot to relax or celebrate a recent big win.
The Dunes Restaurant is, above all, a classy buffet that boasts a huge array of top-shelf homemade meals.
Special Events/Promotions
The Sand Hills Casino hosts daily and monthly promotions and events. Daily promotions relate to Penny slots and $1 slots – from Monday to Thursday Penny slots boast 10x multipliers; during the weekdays, since this is the time where the casino is the fullest at this time, the multipliers are 5x for Penny slots and 2x for $1 slots.
Monthly promotions scheduled for March are the ‘Cash Back!’ reserved for Gold Club members, Bring a Friend promotion that will net you bonus Gold Club points, Toonie Tuesdays, Wing Night Thursdays, Hometown Heroes at the Oasis Lounge, Birthday Club at Dunes Restaurant, and many others.
Sand Hills Casino Membership Info
The Sand Hills Casino features the Gold Club VIP membership program. It doesn’t resemble VIP loyalty programs in the sense that it’s accessible to everyone for free for as long as you have a valid government-issued ID on yourself.
Players who enrol for the Sand Hills Gold Club membership will immediately receive a $10 voucher for free play on the slot machines, but they will also receive a $10 discount on every expense made in either the Dunes Restaurant or the Oasis Lounge.
Moreover, Gold Club Membership provides you with a 25% discount for any clothes bought at the Gift Shop.
The Sand Hills Casino offers a special form of ‘membership within membership’ for seniors called the Club 55 – visitors who are above 55 years old receive additional 25% discounts on expenses made in the Dunes Restaurant or the Oasis Lounge. It should be noted that these discounts don’t apply to Tobacco and Alcohol-based products.
Accommodation & Transportation
The Sand Hills Casino doesn’t feature any rooms where you could sleep as it is not a hotel. The closest hotel is in Carberry on the Provincial Trunk Highway 5 called The Robin’s Nest Motel and Cafe. It actually has a rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars, so we definitely recommend checking it out.
There’s another motel further south, but you’ll need to take a sharp left turn and cross over to the Provincial Trunk Highway 2. Keep following the highway until you reach the Cypress Industries LTD, and you’ll find the Cypress Motor Inn just across the street.
Reaching the casino itself is incredibly easy because it’s just by the Provincial Trunk Highway 5. Keep following the highway until you reach the Forest Hills Cabins and RV Park; the casino is less than a mile away. People who are flying in will have numerous options at their disposal, as there are at least 6 airports in the near vicinity, including the Boissevain Airport, the Louise Muni Airport, Manitou Airport, and the Somerset Airport.
Local Attractions
Carberry is a very green place surrounded by parks and forests. Tourists usually begin their tour with the Spruce Woods Provincial Park before continuing on to Carberry Spirit Sands Desert, Carberry Plains Museum, and one of the most important spots – Camp Hughes.
Even though it’s not that close, we highly recommend that you fill-up the gas tank and head north to see the Riding Mountain National Park – it’s one of the most beautiful parks in all of Canada.
Nearby Casinos
Carberry is surrounded by numerous smaller places, such as Edrans, Austin, MacGregor, Katrime, Bagot, Rathwell, and Saint Claude, so you’ll be able to find plenty of smaller casinos if you cruise around. However, it’s the only full-service casino in the vicinity of about 100 miles. If you are looking for other (big) casinos, you should either head east to Winnipeg or west to Regina.
A Premier Casino Experience
You’ll find beautiful people, exquisite dishes, and some of the most entertaining games within the premises of the Sand Hills Casino. This is one of the best casinos in Carberry, so if you happen to be travelling near Winnipeg or Regina, swing by to have a great time.
